Confusion.
The Planet Kidz website has a “Message from Michael Castro” addressing why i cancelled my last 2 shows with them. I did not write that message nor was I aware it existed until just now.

It says I had to cancel the shows because the producers called me back onto American Idol. This is not true. Obviously there must have been some SERIOUS confusion as to why I had to cancel the shows. Anyways I didnt write that message and it’s not true.

I will not be appearing back on Idol.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Kids! I am sorry to have to do this to you all but I am having to cancel my tour on March 6th and 7th at Huffines Middle School and Burleson Community Center due to my upcoming reappearance on American Idol. My producers notified me last minute that I had to be back in California this week. I do sincerely apologize and just know that I had a blast with all of you who came to my shows! I wish you all the best!

Michael Castro Live in Houston

Here’s a vid from Michael’s Planet Kidz gig in Houston, Texas on February 20.

Michael sang an original song during the event. The title escapes me as of the moment. So I’ll have to get back to you on that.

He also performed covers of popular songs such as In Love With A Girl and This Boy.

This is a video of Michael performing live.

I’m not sure if this video was taken during his first live gig ever, or during the show the following night.

The audio’s pretty clear. There were some moments while watching it  where I yearned to reach out and smack the noisy members of the crowd. But that’s how far my violence goes, it’s just in my mind. Heh.

Anyway, this one is courtesy of Michael and I really hope he would post additional vids. Unfortunate souls like us who live outside Texas are a little nosey, and will appreciate a peek at how his shows went.

Michael Castro Performs At Home

Michael is back in Rockwall, Texas and is touring area schools as part of  Friday Nite Live.

As I promised before, here is the complete list of his shows for the month of February and the first week of March.

February 6    Hartman Elementary School, Rockwall
February 7    Brown Middle School, Forney
February 13  Forestwood Middle School, Flower Mound
February 14  Cain Biddle School, Rockwall
February 20  Cypress Creek, Houston & Bellaire Rec Center, Houston
February 21  Saginaw Rec Center, Saginaw & Bedford Boys Ranch, Bedford
February 27  Schneider Middle School, Pasadena & Jamison Recreation Center, Pearland
February 28  Coppel Rec Center, Coppell
March 6         Huffines Middle School, Lewisville

Aside from performing, Michael will also be posing for pictures and signing autographs.

Admission price is $10.

According to the Friday Night Live website, there will be trained staff and uniformed police officers during the events. There will also be a live DJ and light show, various games and contests, full concession stand, hair and face painting, gym activities, game room and more.

I’ve seen some of the posters which feature Michael’s shows and the ads say that “capacity crowd” is expected.
