This site, thisboycastro.tk or simply ThisBoy was launched last December 28,2008, in honor of the first song posted by Michael on his MySpace music page. It is the successor of Michael Castro Online which was created on May 2008 and is the FIRST site dedicated to Michael Castro of Rockwell, Texas.
Michael is an up and coming singer/musician. He is twenty years old and is currently a junior at Texas A&M University, majoring in University Studies.
He comes from a family of musicians. His big brother Jason was a contestant on American Idol Season 7 and finished at fourth place. Michael himself, will be appearing on the coming season of AI. He is rumored to have reached at least the Hollywood round. Like Jason, Michael also plays the guitar and the ukelele.
Michael holds the distinction of having his own fan base even before news of his joining American Idol was released to the public. A group called the Michael Castro Creepers was started early last year and is generally credited with having popularized the monicker “MCas”.
The goal of this site is to reach out to as many Michael Castro fans as possible. It also intends to serve as a publicity vehicle to help introduce Michael and his music to other people.
This Boy Castro is perpetually under construction and should get more features as time passes.
