Update on Michael’s EP

According to Michael, the CDs will be sent out very soon to those who had ordered them.

Mikey’s EP can be availed of either by buying the CD only or going for the second package, which includes a digital copy along with the CD.

The downloadable links for the digital copy had already been sent out to those who had pre-ordered the EP.

There are 6 tracks on the EP and you should go order a copy if you hadn’t already.

Okay, I know I’ve always said that Michael can pull off any look, and I’m quite sure I loved that jacket on his brother Jason, but honestly, that jacket looks small on him. It’s about time that jacket went back to J’s closet. Or side of the closet. (Coz I think they share one.)

And I’m not liking the hair. Seriously.

I have my first little solo show in my hometown of Rockwall comin up on the 14th. So I’m spending all day every day writing and learning songs. I have a bad habit of writing a song and then moving onto a new one before i even learn the first one! So now I have to learn em all in a rush!

That show is kind of a small private thing I think it was sold out a while ago..BUT I was asked to open up for my brother at his show at Texas A&M at the end of March…so as far as I know i’m still on for that

Also the newer songs I’ve been writing are getting interesting! They’re getting bluesier by the minute! I just like the freedom of blues style music…I dont like structured songs too much. Not to say all my songs will be blues style but i’m definitely feelin it. I dont like when music is perfect and structured. It doesnt seem real…I like people to miss a few notes and get carried away sometimes.

I also made 2 new friends that I write really well with back home in Texas so thats awesome.

I’m really looking forward to hearing his new songs. Perhaps he’d sing those on his first solo show.
Too bad I don’t live anywhere near Rockwall. 😦

Confusion.
The Planet Kidz website has a “Message from Michael Castro” addressing why i cancelled my last 2 shows with them. I did not write that message nor was I aware it existed until just now.

It says I had to cancel the shows because the producers called me back onto American Idol. This is not true. Obviously there must have been some SERIOUS confusion as to why I had to cancel the shows. Anyways I didnt write that message and it’s not true.

I will not be appearing back on Idol.

So, I guess I’m now in charge of this shindig.

I tried this whole fan site thing before and if you’ve been keeping track of Jen’s posts you’d know how my first attempt turned out. MCO still exists, but I really have not been able to fix it or maintain it the way I should. Hopefully this new gig will yield a better result.

To start off, I will try to work on a new banner today. And perhaps add some more features to make your visit here more worthwhile. I didn’t have sufficient time to familiarize myself with the site because, apparently, Jen is already at her wits end with the cleaning, moving and all that, and hence, orientation is simply out of the question.

Anywayz, I hope y’all continue to drop by and keep me company and we can all try to keep track of Michael Castro’s burgeoning career.

The first stop is this “little show called American Idol”. In a few days, we will finally be able to watch Michael’s audition which, based on the rumors and the ever-strong-faith-of-the-Creepers-on-Michael’s-ability, went really well.

A news program (was it on Fox?) showed us a clip of Jason and Michael on the waiting room during the AI audition stop at Kansas. It’s no wonder those commercials are called “teasers”, coz that short clip certainly has a lot of people counting the days to the start of the AI Season Eight.

I already have information on what Michael’s audition song was. For the sake of those who prefer to suffer the agonizing wait, (or enjoy the building excitement- really depends on how you look at it.) I will not mention the song title. However, those who wish to be in on this not-so-big-secret may simply go here and ask.

Or you can ask Ashley or Melissa, because I’m pretty darn sure they know. 😀

Announcement!

Hey everyone. Something very important came up and I have to take a leave from my blogging duties. The house I had my eyes on had become available sooner than I expected. As I would be quite busy packing and moving, I will no longer have the time to attend to this site. I could just leave it but that wouldn’t be right. My friend had entrusted this site to me and I don’t want to just pack my bags and leave without making sure that this site is in good hands.

I have a couple of people in mind who would do great with this blogging-about-Michael-thing, but I have yet to speak to them and based on the number of private messages that I have received, I know that there are people out there who are also interested in helping out with the site. I have to move in a few days so I am making this formal invitation to anyone who would like to manage this site. Just write me a comment and tell me about yourself. And don’t worry I am not going to make it public.

The requirements? Well, first, you need to have sufficient time to work on this. Second, and more importantly, you must like Michael. That’s non-negotiable.

Something Odd, Something New

A reader emailed me yesterday and asked why the site was using a picture showing a “bloodied Michael.” I understand why some people find it odd that we had chosen to use that pic, after all, there are countless gorgeous pictures of him floating around.

I picked that for several reasons. First, it’s strangely sexy. Second, it represented the other side of him unknown to most people, Mcas as a Cage Fighter. Third, and perhaps the most logical explanation, it was created for Halloween.

Yes, it was not intended to be used way into December. One lazy ass, mine specifically, simply forgot to create a new one. I had planned on using a Christmasy banner for this month but unfortunately, I had been unable to attend to it and hence, had to continue using the “creepy” one. ( no pun intended =p)

Since I do agree, that it does not really represent Michael, the American Idol contestant, but was more of a manifestation of our weird concept of what is hot, I had decided to take it down and change it.

Hopefully, by this time tomorrow, I would be done making a banner more appropriate for the Christmas Season and the New Year celebration. For now, this sorry excuse for a banner will have to do. But heyyy, with Michael’s gorgeous smile, a banner’s aesthetic presentation is really quite dispensable. (:
